Having been in education all of our lives, Dave and I had never considered owning a home-based business. However, we were looking for something to supplement our retirement income when we were presented with the travel business opportunity. We were totally unaware of the many tax benefits of owning a home-based business. There are hundreds of tax laws concerning home-based businesses. It just seemed to make sense to take advantages of the tax laws in our retirement, supplement our retirement income, and take advantage of the many travel opportunities available to us. Although our plans to travel have not yet materialized, we do plan to eventually take advantage of the many travel opportunities that are available to us through our company.
